Is there a way to print an ebook? Hi phsrc4u!! The typical ebook can be printed however, if you are referring to the Qi Gong certification course ebooks, no they cannot be printed, per se. If you just cannot stand to read stuff on the computer I suppose you could do a screen capture. I really find using the Adobe Digital Editions software to view the course materials is a very good way to do it. The software is beautifully designed and very easy to use. Hope that helps! xo s

Print Ebooks?
I called Adobe to find out if it is possible to use Adobe Digital Editions to print Qi Gong ebooks downloaded from lulu.com. Much later after being repeatedly put on hold with 6 people, I was told that the ebook cannot be printed from Adobe Digital Editions. I then called sales and asked if there is purchasable Adobe software that could be used to print the .acms file type ebook, and was told: NAY.
I googled without success to search for a acsm to pdf converter so that Adobe Reader could be used to print the resulting pdf. Perhaps others might be more successful in this regard, but in view of the following, this might be “mission impossible”:
“Apparently, acsm is a ‘Protected File’” [http://www.makeuseof.com/answers/convert-epup-acsm-ebook-pdf/]

Many of his previously published great works were absconded with (lack of integrity amongst thieves being what it is). Enjoy the work that he has created. And yes, the work is protected by a very special kind of file. It can not be downloaded. It cannot be printed. It cannot be reproduced, .. well, you get the idea. Use it the way it is being made available -- it is an excellent online product well worth your while. I am making my way through them (in my down time yuk yuk!). There is a link to Grandmaster Ashida Kim's work on our own SRC website at: www.src4you.com/?page_id=296#GMAKEnjoy.

Thank you, it is good to know and have clarity that I will not be able to print it, however, I am not able to get it up to read it even though I have downloaded the Adobe Digital Editions. Any suggestions? At one time last night I saw it and now don't know how to view it even if I could study it off the computer screen.

Is there a way to print an ebook? I downloaded the Adobe Digital Editions software recommended and still am not able to do the ebook thing. When I attempt to open the .pdf file for level one, the computer just loops back to the website for Adobe Digital Editions. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance for the help. Sorry, due to copyright protection there is no way to print it.

Printed Versions of Grandmaster Ashida Kim’s “21st Century Qi Gong Therapy” A number of forum members have mentioned in this thread on “Qi Gong Certification Courses” that the Courses’ 10 ebooks cannot be printed, and this is intentional, as mentioned by Kathy Blair in Reply # 17 in this thread. This is because the ebook file type is .acsm and not the usual .pdf. The .acsm format requires use of the Adobe Digital Editions for viewing, which is a free Adobe download. However the .acsm file cannot be printed, as it is a ‘Protected File’” [see my Reply # 16]. I just found out today that printable versions of the certification course material are available from lulu.com in the form of 2 pdf books: [1] TCM Components, 145 pages [$29.95 paperback and $29.95 pdf download]; [2] QGT Skill Sets, 180 pages [$34.95 paperback and $3495 pdf download]. See: www.lulu.com/product/paperback/tcm-components/16109678?productTrackingContext=search_results/search_shelf/center/10and www.lulu.com/product/paperback/qgt-skill-sets/16109766?productTrackingContext=product_view/recently_viewed/left/2respectively. The following is from the above links: [1] “This book is part of the 21st Century Qi Gong Therapy compiled by Ashida Kim and designed for used by anyone desiring to know how the human body works from a TCM/Martial Science viewpoint. This book includes all of the Traditional Chinese Medicine components taught in the twelve part syllabus of the 21st Century Qi Gong Therapy. The Traditional Chinese Medicine components of the course are available as a separate book. This book is divided into the same chapters as the coursework with the additional information added throughout. This book is a reference manual and not required for certification to First Degree Black Belt. It is made available as a hard copy for those who want the information in a non-electronic book format, or just want the information without taking the course. Tests for each section of the course are NOT included. Those are available ONLY as part of the PDF editions [added by me: I think this should read .acsm editions]. Certification attained at each level allows the student to teach and use the techniques in that section.” [2] {same as [1] above, except for following}: …. This book includes all of the Skills Sets taught in the twelve part syllabus of the 21st Century Qi Gong Therapy……. Thus, 2 .pdf books contain the contents of the 10 .acsm ebooks, plus additional information, with the second book comprising the “Skill Sets” that are interspersed throughout the 10 ebooks. From the above descriptions of the 2 pdf books it is observed that those interested in certification have no choice but to download the .acsm ebooks because certification tests are included only in the .acsm ebooks. But, of course, they could also order the .pdf printable books. I downloaded and printed the 2 pdf books, as I like to search the online .pdf files, and read and markup the printed versions. The .pdf versions suit my needs as I am not presently interested in becoming certified. I don’t know if there is a shipping charge if one orders the paperback version. For further information, contact the co-author of the 2 books Adisi Ama" at adisiama75@gmail.com Got all that? Larry

Grandmaster Ashida Kim’s book “QGT Skill Sets” is described in Reply #26 in the Qi Gong Certification Courses thread. I have found that this book nicely complements and supplements some of GMD’s techniques in the form of written descriptions and photographs. Of course, nothing beats seeing GMD in action in his dvds and youtube videos [https://www.src4you.com/resources], but there is something to be said about the convenience of flipping through pages of a book in searching for the techniques.
The GMD techniques covered in Grandmaster Ashida Kim’s book are as follows: • The 24 Postures of Shun Shen Tao • Nei Gong Hwa Jing [Search For All, Remove All, Clear All = SRC {how about that?}] • The Shen Technique • YES Therapy • Meridian Balancing • Mudras • The Fireball & Diamond Therapies • And perhaps others I have missed
Also, the book contains helpful sketches depicting meridians and corresponding acupuncture points.
