internet needed after initialization?

I purchased the premium version (dongle 1.0.5) and have struggled to get it installed and working.

Apologies if these answers should be obvious, but I'm unsure:

-i have to be connected to internet to initialize program, right?
.......once i'm logged in, must i maintain internet connection, or will program run once it's initialized, even after i'm not online?

-is 1.0.5 a the latest version, or do i need to update already?

You must be on-line while performing steps 1 and 2
1. Plug the dongle in and run the setup.exe file.
2. The software will grab and install all needed program after you run the setup.

Note: After the first two steps you no longer need to be on-line.

3. After the setup is completed there should be an icon of a heart on you desktop.
4. Double click it to open the program.
5. That's it. Enjoy.

Thanks for the prompt help. A follow-up question:

I got it installed and working, though there seem to be some compatibility issues with my laptop.

I know I need more RAM (have 4 GB) and need a faster processor (running dual core 2.0 ghz on a Toshiba Satellite L305-S5907purchased Nov. 2008)......
yet the premium trial ran GREAT on this computer, so I figured I could run one window --
as I did with trial -- until I can afford to upgrade computer.

Perhaps that's wishful thinking?

Will the this 1.0.5 dongle version even work effectively on this laptop with these specifications?

SRC4u premium 1.0.5 and Windows froze when I had only one window open + charger, and I had to power down laptop with everything running.

I take full responsibility since I knew my laptop was/is not up to par, but now Windows Vista won't start up at all, even in safe mode....
If I can get laptop with Vista running again, should I just wait to use SRC4u until I can afford a faster machine...?

Windows Vista is probably more of the problem than the specs you quoted earlier. Windows Vista will use 1 Gig to 1.5 Gigs of RAM all by it's self. That knocks you down to to 2.5 Gigs right off the bat. That does not include any other programs or apps running in the background you may or may not be aware of. But even with 2 Gigs of RAM I would think you should still be able to open 2 or 3 windows. What may help your current situation is to unplug your laptop and take the battery out of it and leave it sit for a few hours (maybe even over night). Then put the battery back in and plug it in to the wall socket and try it. Many times this works wonders.

Yes, it seems Vista is a dysfunctional stepchild of the Windows ME bloodline....

I'm still getting the dreaded blue screen on Vista after removing battery twice overnight, attempting to boot from repair CD, and performing myriad songs, dances, and incantations to deities of the computer realm...

Guess I'm out of luck until I can get a faster system or someone to run a 'fix blue screen' cocktail.....

I think the computer will work for you now, you may just have to re install the operating system.

Do you have a re-installation disc or a back up image?

Depending of the computer type you should have a partitioned drive with a back up image on it.

Follow these steps:

1. Turn the PC on and hit the F8 key repeatedly until the Advanced Boot Option Screen appears.
2. Click "Repair Your Computer" if you are not already on it and then press ENTER
3. choose your country and click OK
4. On the "System Recovery Options Screen" click "Restore Application" which is the last option.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions
6. When prompted, click on "Full Factory Recovery"
7. "Next"
8. Click "Yes"
9. you will notice for a while it seems like nothing is happening, give it some time.
10. After some minutes, recovery will complete and you click "Finish"
